Meet the Makers: Le Petit Spa Esthetics

Tired of how winter is treating your skin? We met up with Erin from Le Petit Spa Esthetics (and a had a customized organic facial which is fabulous by the way) and we got to know her and the business a bit better! Le Petit Spa Esthetics is also one of our girl boss businesses that have collaborated with our You Go Girl gift box!

What is your background, can you tell us a little about yourself?
I graduated from College Boreal in the Aesthetics Program and I have been practicing since. I’ve been an Esthetician for 7 years now. I’ve worked at a few different spas here in Sudbury but I’ve finally opened up my own spa called “Le Petit Spa Esthetics” where I specialize in skincare. My passion is educating people about skincare and making someone feel very confident in their own skin. As for me, I am a super girly girl, I love watching Netflix(New Girl at the moment-AMAZING) and just spending my days off with family and friends.

What is your favourite product and service?
My favourite products are from Eminence Organic Skincare and Wolf & Pine Soap Co. I’ve been working with Eminence Organics sine graduating from College and I wouldn’t want it any other way. I love this company for not only the products but what they value. I am truly proud to carry them in my spa. How can you not love Wolf & Pine Soap Co! The products are to die for and made locally in Sudbury, yay! and their marketing approach is HILARIOUS. I’m super happy to be the only spa in Sudbury to carry them and it’s makes me the happiest to see how they’re growing.

My favourite service to do is of course facials. As I mentioned prior, it’s what I specialize in and it’s truly my passion. I absolutely love making people feel good about themselves. I can talk about skincare for days and all I ever want to do is learn more to make sure I give my clients nothing but the best.

Why do you think it’s important to buy local?
I truly believe in the saying “Where you buy from a local business someone is doing a happy dance”. Sudbury is full a cute little gems that a lot of people don’t know about. I truly believe if we focus on helping all these little businesses, they will be able to stay around longer and grow.

Do you have any tips or tricks for new entrepreneurs in Sudbury?
I am still learning myself since I’ve only had my business for a little over a year but I truly believe social media is your best friend when it comes to marketing yourself and your business. Just being very active and engaging in conversation with your followers or in my case my clients. Oh and don’t be scared to ask questions! I swear I ask 1000 a day to friends or people I know that have their own businesses.

How did you hear about Sudbury in a Box, and why did you get involved?
I heard of Sudbury in a Box through Instagram and I loved how it was showcasing local businesses. So of course, owning my own business now, I wanted to be part of something as wonderful!

And finally, what do you love about Sudbury the most?
I love how people want to buy from local businesses. I love how supportive people are and how a lot of small businesses will all help each other out!
