  1. Lake Laurentian Conservation Area

The Lake Laurentian Conservation Area is a scenic natural area that offers 2,415 acres  of protected green space. Located only 10 minutes from downtown Sudbury, the area offers remote quietness of a wilderness setting, hiking trials, snow shoeing and cross-country ski trails in winter.

Set on 300+ acres of Cambrian Shield overlooking Long Lake in Sudbury, Kivi Park is set to be a premier destination for sport, nature and adventure. Offering over a dozen of cross country ski and snow shoeing trials.

  1. Hillfield Trial

Located in Lively, connecting from Hillcrest Park to Fielding Memorial Park is about a 2KM hike filled with hilly terrain, wooded ravines and a must photographed bridge.

  1. Capreol Ski Trial

Just by the river the Capreol Cross-Country Ski Club runs an excellent, little known set of classic cross-country ski loops that are worth the drive if you are in the Sudbury area. Anyone from beginner to expert can take this is a scenic spot with trails meandering through a forest of white birches and spruce.

  1. Ramsey Lake Skating Path

Located in Sudbury’s downtown core, the path is approximately 1.5 km long, extending from the Sudbury Canoe Club to Science North. Perfect for an afternoon to spend outside with a hot chocolate in hand.
